Danish Norm Update 2018

The norm update entails a significantly larger norm group, which further contributes to the strong validity of the results from Hogan Assessments.

The Danish norm group for Hogan Assessments will be updated. This change will only be relevant for clients whose system is set up to use the Danish norm.

Clients that use the global or other norms will not be affected by this update.

The 2018 Danish norm update is part of Hogan Assessments’ continuous work to keep the assessments updated and relevant. As items are updated, validated and added, norms need to be updated as well in order to secure alignment. The update of norms will also happen regularly in the future.

Hogan calls this approach to assessment development Kaizen Psychometrics, and it has the focus of ensuring that psychometric properties of the assessments remain stable over time and that it reflects prevailing research-based evidence.

Further, the 2018 Danish norm update will significantly increase the sizes of the Danish norm group, against which assessment results are scored.

The sizes of the updated norm groups are as follows:

HPI: 32,322 Valid cases

HDS: 15,586 Valid cases

MVPI: 27,193 Valid cases

The norm groups continue to represent working adults across different industries, organisational levels and Hogan job families, the latter being Executives, Managers, Professionals, Sales, Operations & Trades, Technicians & Specialists, Service & Support, Customer Support and Administrative & Clerical.
